The Red's "Decisive Darkness" deals with the Kyujo Incident in August 1945 succeeding placing the Emperor under house arrest and the peace faction also arrested and Japan pledges to continue the war, needless to say, it doesn't go very well for Japan.
Plus there's For All Time by Chester Arthur which sees President Henry Wallace bungle WW2 badly and the U.S. invades Japan before it surrenders in December 1945.
There was another timeline that featured President Wallace that I can't remember but needless to say, basically Wallace is vehemently opposed to nuking Japan and opts for a conventional invasion which sees the war drag on to 1947 and over a million american deaths and more for Japan, if anyone knows what i'm talking about please give the title.
