Would anyone be interested in doing a collaborative TL set in Europe at the beginning of the Renaissance?
Some ground rules:
1. Technological development continues at a pace roughly equivalent to OTL unless the scientific revolution is delayed/accelerated by politics. Be pessimistic, however.
2. Economic development will change depending on wars (regions may or may not get devastated) and alternate colonial ventures.
3. The Reformation will still happen. It can turn out very different and feature very different figures, but there will be a Reformation of some kind.
4. OTL figures can continue to appear for one generation following the start of the TL. Following this generation, everyone should be completely different.
5. Butterfly responsibly; for example, China's history won't start changing until Europeans show up there. If you want to change things outside of Europe, "infect" them with butterflies in some way, and then go nuts.
6. Don't advance history until whatever decade the TL is currently on is fully fleshed out. Canon will be assigned on a first-plausible-first-served basis.
Have fun!
