What's the most likely way to have Alpharetta,_GA become the business capital of the South instead of Atlanta? Any POD after the end of the Civil War will do; it doesn't have to be after 1900.

There is going to have to be something outrageous and super to cause that to happen.. Because it was growing before the CVW, and thus all the reconstruction money went there after Sherman burnt it to the ground.

Maybe it became an established military base instead of Ft. Gordon or Benning? During and after Reconnstruction, otherwise this is not going to happen. Atlanta was the big city down that far south.

I am from Virginia, so I guess it is a Middle Atlantic Opinion.. lol Not a really deep south opinion.

Do something to bolster Milton County's finances so they don't go bankrupt in the 30's, whilst crashing that of Atlanta/Fulton County.
