Hey there in a hiarquie froom the Best to the worst where would you put the all of the roman guards froom rome's fundation to it's fall in 1453 and why?
Example: 1-varangian guard because they were professional
2-schoolae palatini because they were easy to control
3-pretorian guard because they weren't as easy to control or professional as the varangian guard or the scholae palatini

The Praetorian Guard weren’t the worst when it came to combat skill strictly speaking but politically they were the most likely to kill the man they were supposed to guard.
