Odd....

1921- Canada purchases British Virgin Isles to aid british to pay for reconstruction
1922-1937 -Large numbers of japanese immigrants arrive in BC
1924- Samuel Southfield's National Alliance party wins a suprising victory in the elections
1925- The US makes a disasterous invasion of the Dominican Republic (codename Operation Seal), large public outcry in US and central america.
1928- The National Alliance party receives almost no votes
1929- New York stock market collapses, Canada is more effected economically than OTL due to stronger ties with the US
1930- Devestating drought hits the US
1933 -National Socialist party wins marginally larger minority than OTL
1934 - King states that he fears a war is coming, and therefore begins building Canada's army

Good ideas, definate improvement! But I'm afraid that while the idea of Canada taking over some British islands in the West Indies is within the bounds of human possibility (not, at this early date, probability), the idea of a country invading another one unprovoked for minimal economic benefit in violation of the Munroe Doctrine and likely defiance of Britain is absurd.

Besides, what does Canada need with Haiti? Everything said here applies to the US invasion of DR. I'd just scrap that. I also need more details and more butterflies to convince me that the US party system can be destroyed overnight by apparent pseudo-fascists pre-depression.

Making Finland revanchist is quite a clever justification, but I'm afraid I don't see the scenario you describe. In 1919, the Soviets were at their low civil war ebb. I don't think they has the resources or will for a real campaign against Finland. I'm not an expert, but I'd imagine either Finland is all red (Finnish civil war), Finland is free within its actual independance borders or even bigger, or the nature of the Russian civil war is radically altered to give the Commies the opportunity for a northern adventure.

If king can smell war in 1934, he was one hell of a nose for trouble.

National Alliance

They leader was highly charismatic, did not over throw the government, he just won the election. As for why, it is because they gave the impression that they were anti-european imperialism, not pro-american imperialist.
Of course odd behaviour will be explained far later in the timeline...

1935- Haiti is granted full admittence into Confederation
1935- Mexico, Dominican Rupublice, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Colombia and Brazil form the Americas Economic Alliance, however the americans begin to fear it is infact a military alliance.
1936- Spanish civil war begins, Soviet and Canadian forces succesefully stop the Fascists from taking the mainland. King had sent the troops to defend Democracy not Socialism though
1936- Japan invades Manchuria a week later than OTL

I Blame Communism; said:

I

The russians were slightly less devasted since the germans had been forced to fight somewhat harder on the western front. Soviet support also is a little tiny bit stronger than OTL, due to butterflies...

1937- US begins a military build-up to scare off the Americas Economic Alliance, however the EAE, fearing the americans may plan to attack, build up their army
1937- Canada begins to build a battleship
1937-1939- Canada accepts large numbers of jewish refugees
1938-Hungary demands trannsylvania, due to the hungarian population their, and receives it in appeasement
1939-World War 2 begins two days later than OTL, due to german losses in Spain
