Oceans Apart Yet Close Together: An Anglo-Dutch Empire Everlasting

1688 William of Orange becomes King of England, Scotland and Ireland and starts to meld Holland with the nations to create the
"Empire van Nederland en de Britten" (Empire of the Netherlands and the Britons)

His open aim was to prevent Catholic domination of Europe but secretly he wished to create a counter-balancing alliance to Catholic France. He saw this as the major threat to the Empire in both Europe and the colonies in the Americas.

The shift to constitutional monarchy and the creation of the Bill of Rights and the thawing in relations with Catholics in Ireland leads to greater harmony in Ireland and across in America where the revolution of 1775 never takes place due to a greater sense of parity and equality between the old world and the new.

Within 30 years the Empire with Amsterdam and London as its primary cities becomes the major trading bloc in Europe. Imperial gains across the world eventually result in East Africa, the USA, South Africa, Rhodesia, the Indian sub-continent, Australia and New Zealand forming the largest empire in the world.

in 1911 the Empire, France and Germany sign the "entente cordiale" in response to the rise of Imperial Russia.

Completely unrealistic. Like ASB unrealistic. First of all, whats the POD? William III having a son? Because without one Britain and the Netherlands would drift apart again. Second of all, it would take at least a century to create a unified nation between Britain and the Netherlands. And why would this lead to a thawing to the Catholics in Ireland? if anything it would lead to more suspicion! And why would this keep the American Colonies? The 13 colonies didn't break away because of the ill treatment of Catholics. So would the House of Orange give representation to the colonies? Lessen the intolerable acts? What here???

So its the OTL British Empire with the Netherlands and Indonesia added? What about Napoleon? Does he still happen? Does the Netherlands control Belgium as well? And within 30 years? Within 30 years of what:confused:???

Finally why would the empire sign an alliance with France and Germany? How was Germany created? Would it even BE created without Napoleon to encourage Nationalism? Is it ruled by Prussia or Austria? What about France? A monarchy? A republic? An Empire??

All of these need to be answered. And even then its very very far out.
