Nubians successfully defend Egypt from Assyrians

Egypt's 25th dynasty (760-656 BC) is noteworthy because the country was under control by the Nubians, a Nilo-Saharan originating south of Egypt. However, this dynasty ended when the Assyrians annexed Egypt from the Nubians. What if the Assyrians had failed to do that? What if the Nubians had successfully driven them out and kept Egypt?

Lower Egypt would be a rather rebellious area under the 25th dynasty, they would need to establish order in the delta. They could easily maintain rule over Upper Egypt because of the prominent worship of Amun in Upper Egypt and Nubia.

If they find a way to keep Lower Egypt stable then I'd imagine they would soon take advantage of the decaying Assyrian empire and attempt to gain influence over the Levant. The Nubians may also be able to get Egypt in the Iron Age, Nubia was filled with iron and it was one of the reasons the kings of Napata(a city where the 25th dynasty kings fled to after the Assyrian takeover) relocated to Meroe.

Nubia and Egypt consolidate into one single cultural entity and eventually is conquered by someone else like the Persians or Macedonians unless they're butterflied.
