Nowhere Else To Go - Healey beats Foot

Heya, Meadow. Any plans to revive this? :)

Lord Douglas is correct. Jenkins had let his Labour membership lapse by this point and didn't return to parliament until winning Glasgow Hillhead for the SDP in 1982. In TTL he'd have to rejoin the party and look for a convenient seat. Perhaps this time he wins Warrington as the Labour candidate?

Shirley Williams may sit things out. I think she was happy keeping herself busy with her family and other work after being defeated in '79.

Wow, a 3 year necro on one of my TLs! Thanks for the tip on Jenkins, I've got a degree under my belt and a much better understanding of the 1970s-1980s PLP now. I can tell you that I am working on a major reboot of this TL, one that might surprise you in its direction. You'll have to sit tight for a while, though :)

It came up in a Google search I made on Denis Healey and looked interesting, so I thought I'd ask :) Looking forward to the TL, slip a link to it in here when it goes up.
