"I wish you had told us that we would feel sick afterwards," Laurie DiMaggio-Beckett said. She was breathing heavily, as they all were, after being transferred to this new world.
"That's because you didn't ask," said Bethany Wilkes. "Besides this is the first time we are treating lots of people with that thing I gave you. Maybe this is one of the side effects."
"Great. The first world I go to and I may die from the medicine." Laurie stood up, wobbled a bit, then sat back down. "What can we see of this world from here?"
Rose spoke up. "I see a tourist center of some sort. There appears to be a flag out front. I'll go in for a closer look you stay here."
Underwood was just coming back from a plaque a few feet away. "This is a very different world Beth."
"How do you mean?"
"That plaque," said Underwood. "Says that Quebec surrendered on September 2nd, 1775."
