North south split of the roman empire?

i was wounding what would happen if the war between Octavian and Mark Anthony managed to split the roman empire with anthony controlling Africa and some of the middle east while Octavian controlled rome and europe?

Possibly another Roman Civil War. Either side could win. Octavian might try to persuade the Germanic tribes or Scythians to ally with him to defeat Mark Anthony. Mark Anthony could ally with Egypt and possibly the Arabs and the Parthians. If Octavian allies with the Scythians, he may also ally with the Parthians, which would be the end of Mark Anthony. Mark Anthony could ally with the arabs and Egyptians and that would be really bad for Octavian. Those are my theories

The moment Anthony gets control of Egypt (and manages to hold it), he would have a huge advantage. He could play the populist and give free grain in Rome, since Egypt was still at the time the main supplier of food to Rome (this is the reason that made the Romans annex it in the end, since they were rather tired of having to keep the peace every few years in Egypt from feuding monarchs...). By subverting Octavian's base, it would become a lot more difficult for him to achieve a victory, and you have to keep in mind, despite being the loser in the end, Anthony was the better general between the two, and he would most likely win in a prolonged war.
