North Carolina capital: New Bern

hey, all. i just recently got into Anglo-American Rivalry again and have been rewriting the listed historical events, mainly because i forgot where i left off :p

anyway, one minor divergence i decided to add in, purely because of butterflies from the official POD of September 3 1783, is that the capital of North Carolina as a state stays at where it originally was, in New Bern, instead of a new city (Raleigh) being built in 1792

i know that, in all likelihood, such a change would be inconsequential on the world scale, but does anyone think it could potentially affect future events concerning the US itself and North Carolina in particular? obviously, the first thing that comes to mind is the Confederacy, but i sincerely doubt that New Bern would affect the war any more than Raleigh
