North American "Snapshot TL" Poll

What should be my first Snapshot TL?

I am going to write the first in a series of what I call "Snapshot TLs." That is, a TL that does not show the entire chain of events, but rather a summation of each nation's current state, and some major events of its history. They are all North American-Centric.

The Red, The Gray, and The Blue:
The United States is more expansionist in the 1840s and 1850s; and still wins a civil war against a lesser Confederacy. The US is later more hard on labor during the late 19th and Early 20th Centuries; this later boils over into a Second Civil war, with the Western Syndicalist Republics, the Rio Grande Union, and the Second Southron Confederacy all seceding in an alliance of convenience. The US government is then overthrown by a junta that lasts until the 1950s, and is much more conservative; the others have varying levels of democracy.

For Another Barrel:
One less family embarks upon the Mayflower, and in the space they would have occupied, more provisions are stored; and the Mayflower reaches New Amsterdam. They do not stay in the main colony for long, and they trek to the Connecticut River Valley; various other factors lead to a longer Anglo-Dutch friendship, more settlement in New Netherlands, and no English Seizure of the colony. The English colonize less in the West, and more in the East after losing Virginia to A revolt led by Oliver Cromwell.

Well, okay. While I'll freely admit I'm kinda partial to the first one, both are interesting. BTW, which Mayflower family stayed home in the second TL, if you don't mind the question?

Also note, I will eventually do both; I'll just do the winner first.

I haven't decided, any idea for the most delicious butterflies?

For Another Barrel sounds the most interesting to me. Just wondering, I see you voted for The Red, the Gray and the Blue yourself, so why don't you go for that one if you think it is the most interesting one?

FAB is more interesting, but I'd rather write what people want to see.

For Another Barrel's map.

The Red, The Gray, and The Blue is basically an Ameriwank, so no. For Another Barrel sounds much more interesting than that.
