Norican Empire

Would it be possible that the Noricans, formed a breakaway realm or a confederatuion like the gauls did ? This breakaway realm would look similar to this:

Sorry the wrong picture. i update soon. basically i mean a breakaway realm consisting of Noricum, Raetia and parts of France (roughly the area of the rhone alpes and Alpes-Côte d’Azur) and Northern italy (Lombardy, venetia, emilia and toscany)

'Breakaway' from what, though? Is it meant to be part of a much larger realm in the first place?

breakaway from the roman empire, a few years before the roman empire breaks apart, the noricans form their breakaway realm.

I thought you meant the Celtic Taurisci of Noricum.

Being so close to Italy, any governor at the frontier would more likely want to mobilize their troops and overthrow the reigning emperor before deciding on independence.

i see. But after the roman empire breaks apart, would the noricans be able to gain those territories, maybe even parts of northern italy like Lombardy, venetia and Piedmont ?

As a province of the Roman Empire, and especially after the Caracalla issued the Constitutio Antoniniana in 212 CE, which conferred Roman Citizenship on all free men within the Empire, the "Noricans" would not consider themselves a people apart. And given the external tribal migrations into the Roman Empire in the 4th and 5th centuries CE, the area was in the path of tribes like the Bavarians, the Ostrogoths and the Lombards. Any state that identifies itself by anything like the "Norican" label (if indeed it ever did) would be highly unlikely after its annexation by the Romans.

So the norican language would be extinct ? would they view themselves as succesor state of the roman empire

My goal is, that a country like this gets formed ( the orange colored area) and that country should have one language.

I would need a POD which would allow he celtic language to continue existing in Noricum and being the dominant language there. Mabye the Noricans remain relativly autonomous, but are still part of the Roman Empire. Either that, or the Noricans decide to ally themselves with other rebells and decide to wage war against Rome. This newly formed empire is called Carantania which means land of the friends in celtic. And this federation challenges the weakened Roman empire.

Either that or Noricum is not latinized like in OTL, and remains relativly autonomous. From Wikipedia:" Noricum was incorporated into the Roman Empire in 16 BC. For a long time the Noricans had enjoyed independence under princes of their own and carried on commerce with the Romans. In 48 BC they took the side of Julius Caesar in the civil war against Pompey. In 16 BC, having joined with the Pannonians in invading Histria, they were defeated by Publius Silius. Thereafter, Noricum was called a province, although it was not organized as such and remained a kingdom with the title of regnum Noricum, yet under the control of an imperial procurator. Under the reign of Emperor Claudius (41–54) the Noricum Kingdom was ultimately incorporated into the Roman Empire apparently without offering resistance."
So what if the romans decide not to incorporate Noricum completly ?

and that would help that Noricum wont get incorporated ? would that also led to a earlier collaps of the roman empire ?
What about the other suggestion, the noricans ally with others to crush the roman empire ?

i only want that instead of german, they speak a celtic language.
