Totalitarianism are not only
Authoritarianism, the strive after controlling every aspect of their subjects life makes the most profound difference between a simple dictatorships and truly Authorial dictatorships. It's the difference between Hitler and Stalin or Gorbatjev.
So a truly centrist Totalitarian Dictatorship would have to base itself of a idea that the ordinary family life (however that is) is the foundations of their society and everything that deviates from that is undesirable and should be rooted out of society.
Corporatism Come to mind, and a Italy under a more centrist and demanding dictator than Mussolini, that should fit the bill. Someone that tries to save Italy from both communists and Fascists and restore "good old values".
