Non nazi germany in ww2

There probably wouldn't be a WW2 without the Nazis racial insanity flogging the Germans on.

Not necessarily, is there any chance that a non-pragmatic, expansionist Soviet leader comes to power? Perhaps someone more serious about spreading the revolution to the rest of Europe? Germany could end up a victim in such a war.

Are there any timelines in progress or complete that have a non nazi germany but posible still in ww2

Could always be a case where the experiment with democracy in post war Germany actually works and the country actually gets back on its feet properly by the early 30s

This butterflies away the rise of extreme politics (Nazi/Communist) threatening to take control.

Anyway the upshot is that Germany does not become the big bad in the late 30s and this goes someway towards lessening the requirement for the other European nations to rearm.

Meanwhile - The Soviet Union still does finish its rearm post purges and the actual catalyst for Europe waking up and rearming is the Soviet involvement in the 1st (won by the Soviet backed Republican forces) and 2nd Spanish civil war (won by the Soviet backed popular front elements following a major attempt at purging 'undesirable elements' vs the Republican forces) in the late 30s.

Have the Soviets 'take' mainland Spain and back an attempted but failed 'peoples uprising' in Italy as well as serious agitation in places like France along with several land grabs in Eastern Europe and Eastern Finland by 1941

I think you get the Picture.....

But an actual timeline?

I think this was already done...

I was assuming Stalin was still in power based on the OP, but if you can find someone who is like that (Trotsky is the obvious candidate, but has some political difficulties to overcome) then go nuts.

Alternatively, we could have Germany go red in 1919/Early 20s, which provokes a surge in popularity of reactionary movements in France, like Action Française. Only problem though is I dunno what would actually provoke a conflict.

I guess my point is, if a second World War was going to happen (as opposed to say a purely Pacific War involving Japan, America and the other Colonial powers), Germany is going to be a central figure in it.

Well, yes. It occupies the central position in Europe, after all. :p
