Non-ASBish "United States vs. Everyone else" WWII scenario?

With the PODs as early as 1918, is it possible to create an ATL WWII where the United States is facing the rest of the world's great powers?

Events that extremely different from OTL, like Fascist revolution in USA, Communist takeover in UK and Dominions, a democratic Germany instead of a Nazi one, an early victory for KMT in China, a non-ultranationalist Japan, etc, are allowed.

Anyway, "Everyone else" in this thread is defined as Great Britain (and Dominions), France, Germany, Italy, Soviet Union, China, and Japan.
(But if that's way too impossible, maybe we can exclude France and China, and turning both into US allies in this ATL WWII...?)

Is this possible without any ASBish intervention?

As likely a situation I could figure out is a world where the US just remains plain Isolationist. At some point a European power, who holds the rest of the world in its tow, tries to challenge the Monroe Doctrine, and America acts against them.

The European New Order and the Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere decide to carve up the Americas between themselves. With Mexico in a civil war and Argentina aiding the invaders, the U.S. must essentially fight the fascist powers alone, with its only allies being incredible weak.

Pretty ASB though, and would technically be WWIII.

The Manifest Destiny continues into Asia, with the European colonies, China, and Japan being the next areas targeted.

Could conceivably lead to the U.S. vs. Germany, Japan, Britain, and France.

1918 is too late for this POD, since the Frontier had officially been closed in the 1890s or so. Unless, of course, somehing goes really badly in Europe to the point there's a MASSIVE immigration wave, we need space for all these new people, and decide to reopen the frontier in the Far East.

(Red Europe moves to defend Japan against the genocidal, rapacious evil-US on humanitarian/anti-imperialist grounds? Of course, they'd have more immediate problems with their own colonies...)

A more realistic POD for this would be that the Phillippines goes better for the United States and consequently we don't lose our taste for overt imperialism in Asia.
