So I've seen/read quite a few US Monarchy threads, even started one or two, but I've never really seen this addressed or explored. So in the event that the US becomes a Monarchy, would an American Peerage/Aristocracy/Noble class develop and if so how? Would an official nobility be too far against the founding values of the United States or would there be a demand for such a thing considering that most of the founding fathers/important Convention delegates were effectively plutocrats? Would they get lands from the King or would they be empty titles? Hell, what about the titles themselves? A tiered hierarchy like Europe or would they be limited to Lord/Lady, showing that all the nobles are "equal" to each other? Finally, would we see a kind of hereditary upper house like Britain, Austria and (occasionally) France or would the nobility have no official role in government, like in the 19th century Low Countries or Scandinavia? Please discuss!
