No WW1 (14 -18)

So no Great War of 1914-18, if so then what do you all think the effects might be on the spread of Spanish flu postwar which OTL killed far more than the war?

Well, IIRC at least part of why it was so deadly was because of the cramped conditions of the trenches which had weaked many immune systems, not to mention malnutrition in many areas and the fact that war just generally does stir up disease.

Depending where it really came from it might be called the America or french flu and probably run a much milder course - IIRC it spread especially well in condfined conditions and "returning" soldier took it home.

No Great war will probably hinder the spread.
