hey, all. i'm in the process of rewriting the information document for my ASB ATL once again and came across a particular note:
"the events of [TTL's version of World War I] and [TTL's version of the Russian Revolution] are to be rewritten to take into account that, prior to the Russian Revolution, Lenin had been exiled from the country and was smuggled back in by Imperial Germany in order to hassle the Tsarist government during World War I [...]"
so i thought i'd go ahead and ask: if World War I as we know it doesn't take place (e.g., it's a more localized conflict which doesn't involve the major powers), what does everyone think would be the consequences for Lenin and the Russian communist movement? would he stay stuck in Germany? would the Russian Revolution even take place?
