No Women's Suffrage

How do we get a TL where, in the democratic nations of the world (or at least the US), women cannot vote? Men must still be able to vote, and no shadow governments, dictorships, drugged-up-socialist-paradises, etc.. :D Basicly, other than the suffrage issue, the world at large should remain as close to OTL as possible. Except that now shorter candidates have a chance of winning elections. :D

Simple. Go with Swiss model. Only those who serve in military are allowed to vote/be elected (Swiss kept this system until 1970s). And bar women from joining. Of course you need conscript military to do this.

Of course it helps if you avoid large, long wars where a lot of men go to war and women work in factories and realise they can do as well as men.
