From what I've read, the embarassment the Red Army suffered in trying to defeat Finland (yes they won, but it took too long) led to reforms within the Red Army that probably aided in their ultimate victory in WWII. Now if there was no Winter War, then presumably there would be no reforms. How would this effect the Eastern Front? Would Moscow fall? Would Stalin be toppled? I think the Soviets would still win in the end through attrition, but it would be a much longer road with possibly the US Army being the ones to occupy Berlin, which may lead to a radically different post-war Europe.
