No Watergate: A Nixon Survives Collaborative Timeline

In this timeline, Nixon's Chief of Staff H.R Haldeman complies with his boss' order to destroy all of the types that contain evidence of the Watergate scandal. As a result, the scandal is never discovered in this timeline, or at the very least not until years after Nixon completes his Presidency. Aside from revealing the scandal any sooner then 15 years after the end of Nixon's Presidency, you may add whatever you want to this timeline, whether it's political, social, pop-cultural, anything. Enjoy.

April 7th, 1973: Chief of Staff H.R Haldeman obeys a request from President Nixon to destroy thousands of taped recordings. No one knows what was recorded.

May 3, 1973 – During the Wounded Knee incident in South Dakota, a small skirmish between members of the American Indian Movement and around five U.S. Marshals results in the death of 8 Native American protesters and only one U.S. Marshal, which would quickly become memorialized in American history as the "Second Wounded Knee Massacre." Native Americans across the nation use the event as a rallying cry for the cause.
 
May 8th, 1973: Nixon catches wind of the investigation into Agnew's tax evasion. In order to keep Agnew in his pocket, while ending the investigation, he orders his higher ups to obstruct any evidence related to the tax returns, whatever the cost. From this point onwards, Nixon's highest ups help him destroy and hide evidence related to Agnew's actions.
 
October 5th, 1973: Citing reconnaissance and other raw intelligence, the Israeli government authorizes preemptive airstrikes against Egyptian and Syrian forces lined up on the Golan Heights and the Sinai.
 
May 6th 1973: Rumors of Spiro Agnew avoiding paying taxes leaks out.

May 8th 1973: Senator Edward Moore "Ted" Kennedy of Massachusetts and youngest brother of President John F. Kennedy and Senator Robert F. Kennedy, speaks out in the Senate about how these rumours must be investigated to see if there is ground for impeachment and has suggested if a change to the constitution due to the omission in the Constitution, that allows the Vice President to preside over his or her own impeachment trial

July 2nd, 1973: Following complications from his assassination attempt by Arthur Bremer during the 72 campaign, Governor George Wallace of Alabama, suffers from a fatal heart attack, leading to former acting governor, Lieutenant Governor, Jere Beasley succeeding to the office.

July 2nd, 1973: The funeral of George Corley Wallace Jr., takes place at Greenwood Cemetery in Montgomery, Alabama, attended by many political figures.

November 5th, 1974: Jere Beasley is elected to his first full term as Governor of Alamaba, defeating Republican, Elvin McCary.
