No War of 1812: development of Washington DC and Yorktown/Toronto

Weren't both cities still incredibly small at the time they were burnt down, more like towns? None of the buildings in DC could have been more than 40 years old.
 
Well the Presidental Mansion would have a different name.
Just think of the fun we'd have if it had been painted green. The Greenhouse with forced premature ideas, hot air, 'people who live in glass houses...' etc.

Then presidents with oil connexions - the "Not Green" house, etc.
