No V2

In the context of the German war effort the V2 was a collosal waste of limited resources.

WI somehow it did not get produced?

How much does it slow down

1) ICBM's

2) Space exploration

3) Communication satelites.

How much difference does this make to the Cold War, does the US feel invulnerable?

Well, there was the V1. And do you mean it not actually getting on the production line, or not being developed whatsoever? If the first, things go more or less as in OTL, whereas in the second, ICBM development may start getting jittery.

Probably a bit but not too much if I am in guessing Von Braun still lives. The A9 never survived pre-production stage yet still contributed a lot OTL.

It won't really effect either the US or USSR historically both sides found the A4 ineffective in tests and went about designing their own rockets.

Korolev is more important than Von Braun here.

No they'll still fear destruction as ICBM's will be along shortly, you might se more development into Nuclear bombers for a short while though.

The basic theory for the German rockets was heavily derived from the pre war work of Robert Goddard.

So the basics are all in place, whether the Nazis do it or not.
