No stop in Varennes

During the French Revolution, Louis XVI and his family attempted to escape to Austria in the dead of night. They were only a few miles away from the border when Louis decided, against the pleas from his wife, to stop and stay the night in a town called Varennes. When they stopped there someone recognized them and alerted revolutionary authorities, which by morning aprehended the fleeing Bourbons.

Basically, what if they didn't stop in Varennes and they continued until they got to the safety of Austria?
