No Sicilian Vespers

What if the Sicilian Vespers never happened could Charles d'Anjou made a succesfull attack on Constantiopel what he intented to do in restoring The Latin Empire and stays Sicily with south Italy under the reign of the house Anjou instead the house of Aragon
Any suggestions?

He has a good chance of success based on the naval and land forces available. Michael Palaiologos dies the same year the war begins and the Byzantines still have not recovered so they aren't in the best shape. 82 however was the latest date Charles planned to attack the city, it had been delayed a number of times previously. I think best bet would be to attack in 1270 instead of the 8th crusade in Tunisia at that point the Byzantines are really in shambles.
