No Salem Witch Trials?

Ye Gods, man!

Isn't that enough? My first high school play, my first high school crush, what would I have done if we had done some insipid musical instead?

More enlightened renaissance? But it's pretty ASB to have the Puritans stop this. Anyway Miller would find another analogy to compare to McCarthyism.

I myself acted in the play also, as Rev Hale. The play was a reasonable one, though Death of a Salesman is better.

How would Cotton Mather's life have been affected?

I was going to post this!

Well, I wouldn't have to read the poorly written play Arthur Miller made. (My opinion of course, but I thought changing the age of Abigail to add some sex in was a terrible choice)

Instead of his nonexistent play "The Crucible", Arthur Miller is best known
for his angry and sexually charged 1959 film adaptation of Hawthorne's
"The Scarlet Letter", starring Marilyn Monroe as Hester Prynne.
