No Rome Late Jesus

If there was no Rome could we see a more powerful Carthage over time, could we also see maybe unified Celtic nations to resist forces like Carthage.

Or if Islam still came about (with no Christianity) could the nations form to defend themselves against Islam?

And what if Jesus came about in a Muslim world?

Jesus or Mohammed would be butterflied away.

And Carthage was a mainly maritime power. They weren't big on outright conquest.

It's very possible though it's not necessarily for it to be in Arabia. Take Zoharism as an Islam analogue but being Persian.

Yeah, i had made from the idea that a form of Islam does come about and takes some of Persia, whilst the other Zoroastrianism part survives spreading there religion to Central Asia.

But i think Zoroastrianism replacing Islam is better

Zoharism was started as a mixture of Zoroastrianism. Judaism, Christianity and a bunch of other faiths. You can always start from the beginning.

edit: Yes, I know that,

If you believe, Jesus would show up regardless. However, taking religion out of the equation and looking objectively, Christianity or something very like it might have sprouted out of Judaism if the greeks continued to control judea, and the maccabees failed. that or jews would have been a hell of a lot more militant. islam would not have showed up without christianity, period.

i do think conflict between carthage and the celts to the north is inevitable ITTL. The Celtiberians were just to the north, and then there was Gaul. I think Greece would continue to expand and colonize the med. sea. they would also conflict with both carthage and the celts. the etruscans would become the power in italy, possibly wiping out any possibility of romance languages altogether (etruscans spoke a language related to ionian), or maybe a pidgen and a new branch of language we wouldnt recognize.

i think europe at large would either civilize much much slower, or would be a lot like OTL africa, and remain largely tribal

How does Judaism still first, then Jesus in a similar ish time to what he did appear, except his teachings aren't so widespread and Christianity becomes a bit of a forgotten faith, only to be rediscovered later.

This leaves the question of who would own Palestine at the time?
