No Publius Ventidius Bassus. Parthians Overrun Levant.

Publius Ventidius Bassus was the key figure in preventing to Parthians from overrunning Roman Levant and Asia Minor following the disastrous defeat of Crassus. He was rather essential to the Late Republican Rome securing and keeping these territories. The effects may have had drastic butterflies for Octavians War with Antony.

Ventidus during his time actually had several close calls in his life such as being captured early in his life during the Social Wars where working as a Muleteer for example he could have been kicked and lamed.

Well it depends on who replaces him. I imagine Antony had many a capable subordinate. But still, I can see Antony returning soon to crush the Parthians. Bassus seems to have been able to drive Labienus out of Asia Minor relatively easily.

Judea would certainly be better off under Parthia than under Rome. The persecution probably and the crucifixion certainly of Jesus would be butterflied away. If Jesus got in trouble, either he'd be shoved off a cliff and had rocks dropped on him (the predominant Jewish method of execution) or maybe impaled or boiled in oil ( Parthian /Persian methods).

Actually Jesus as a person was persecuted by Jewish law and executed by the romans after His own people decided He had to die. So i don't see Christianity changing much in this regard (it would probably focus on converting the partian empire though possibly butterflying islam).
Rome would face an huge crisis right there and then beacouse the middle east was among the richest parts of the empire. However if this means Rome gets it's head out of it's ass now and starts financial reforms to survive the crisis this can lead to a surviving if reduced "WRE" (probably just italy and parts of the balkans, africa and southern france: the barbaric invasions won't get any kinder but the economical repercussions might be lesser).
We might also see a middle eastern zoroastrianism influenced "Catholic Church" and western european "orthodox" church :) (Rome will become Christian with any POD after the punic wars, it's hard to argue against this).

Beacose there aren't historical proof of his existance anyway so we might as well assume that whatever happened that lead to Christianity happens anyway in any given TL where this is in doubt. To us Christians it's article of Faith anyway.

Either way, that requires a Roman occupied Palestine.

Well, Cleopatra would be much less strong and there would be no Donations of Alexandria as there would be nothing to donate.
