No Pequot War

Well, a war of some kind would probably happen eventually. Its better for the Dutch, for the Pequot were aligned with them. If we can hold the war off for twenty years then we can probably draw it in as part of one of the Anglo-Dutch wars, but I think thats improbable. However the longer the war waits the stronger the English position as more settlers arrive.

The English colonial leaders were looking for an excuse. The murder of the two traders was likely not even done by Pequot, and English leaders knew that.

But you can somehow prevent the most murderous war vs Indians in colonial US history (in terms of proportion of the tribe killed) then the biggest change is a larger surviving Pequot nation. They'd probably wind up in the praying towns and many of them intermarried with free Blacks as IOTL. Greater numbers may make recognition a bit easier, meaning that Trump will holler his racist nonsense sooner, (paraphrasing) "They can't be Indians because they don't look Indian."
