No moorish occupation of Iberia

Dan1988, in your norman Galicia scenario, there is still Rollo in french Normandy or you are going to change the norman expansion as it happened in OTL?

I was thinking of it only as being a Normandy analogue, but now that you mention it - maybe I could have both Rollo and change the Norman expansion. ;)

The commercial consequences if the other norman exploits are like in OTL could be interesting. Indeed the comercial relations between northern Iberia (specially Asturias and Vascongadas), and both sides of the channel are previous to the viking raids. Maybe we can call it the route of cider :p

But, if that norman Galicia has close relations with the Duchy of Normandy, which was one of the most monetized economies in western Europe to the mid XI century, the influx of coins from the north in Iberia could have interesting effects.

Sounds good - I did say that Galicia could be trading with Northern Europe (including Scandinavia, its overseas territories, and *Britain), but that makes it sound badass. :D
