No local Daylight Savings Time

Suppose in the 1970s, every country touching the Mediterranean except Turkey, every country that is in OTL EU, United Kingdom, Norway, and Russia all get rid of daylight savings time independently over a 3 year period. What effect does this have later on?

Please don't talk about modern EU politics. I used that because it was a convenient instead of copy and pasting a list of countries.

"Europe west of Ukraine" leaves too much ambiguity.

Daylight savings time is terribly annoying for any sort of automated manufacturing facility. It is a small competitive edge to not have it (like Arizona, which doesn't) one night a year and a much bigger one another night a year (fall DST is the annoying one, because it can break things that rely on precedence in time).
