No Lead Lease -> US Carribean and Civil Rights

POD 1941
US Congress is debating Lend Lease, Several opponents bring up Britain never repaying it's WW1 loans, Lend Lease narrowly Fails. Britain is thrown back on Cash and Carry.

Using the Example of the Danish Virgin Islands, the British Virgin Islands, Bermuda, Bahamas, Turks, British West Indies, and Jamaica are sold over the next several years to the US.

I Know Britain Selling Off Everything is sort of ASBish, But lets work with the POD [Please:cool:]

Now these territories are Majority Black, with most Politicos at all levels on the island being Blacks.

?So what impact would these Black Majority territories have on US Civil Rights in the post war era.?

I'm Assuming they go for Porto Rico style Commonwealth Status instead of Statehood, --- ?But would it make a Difference if they did apply for Statehood?

Well I suppose Nazi victory in Europe would have quite a significant impact on how the Civil Rights movement developed.

After the war with a soviet dominated Europe and an angry Britian im seeing the USA being very unpopular.

Not sure how you get either of these from the OP

But neither of them address the OP Question of US Civil Rights in the 50's~60's with several Majority Black territories in the US.

I'm assuming you want the war to go pretty much the same way, but with the UK trading overseas properties in exchange for equipment. The problem is the Soviets. What are they going to trade in exchange for the materials we sent OTL for lend lease.

By WW2, I think the larger islands, definately Jamaica, would want independence. The smaller islands still have such a small population I can't imagine any significant change to civil rights policy.
