What if the Great Migration of blacks leaving the American Southern states for industrial northern cities never happen? This could be because of no ww1 or America keeps letting in immigrants in larger numbers which means no open jobs for blacks in northern factories. A other option is the southern cities industrializing earlier so many move to major southern cities in large numbers for work instead of northern ones. This pod means southern states will have a much higher percentage of blacks. Some states would even have majority black populations. Mississippi and South Carolina would be majority black. Alabama, Georgia, and Louisiana, and Florida(at least until 70s) will be near 50 percent. The rest of the south will be 20 percent or higher. What impacts would this have on the United States especially the southern states? How would this effects blacks? How would this effects the rest of the countries views and interactions with the south? How would things look after segregation ends? How does southern and black culture progress? How would race relations develop?
