No French and Indians War

The circumstances leading up to it might not have happened. So lets have Lt. Gov. Dinwiddle of Virginia back down and let the French have Ft. Duquesne. Or the French party could arrive late when the British where constructing Ft. Prince George. Or we could have the skirmish at Jumonville Glen end up with Washington in a bad position, and he's forced to retreat, and then the two governments just let it slide.

I'm sure you guys can come up with better scenarios then these. Also I do realize that a conflict was likely to take place between Britain and France at the time, but what if this conflict had started (like this WI posits) in a different manner and later?

I agree with Gladi. The French and Indian war was just the American theatre. To remove it, you need to get rid of the entire 7 years war. Without that, if nothing else, a north American theatre is garunteed.

France and Spain are in better conditions.

Sorry if i was unclear. What I meant was WI that the French and indians war had started differently? I think that in and of itself would have major effects on the future of the world. The most notable being the affect on George's life.
