No Chance in Hell: A One Shot

This idea has been knocking around my head for a while.

Danny Lloyd yawned as he watched the news and watched balloons and ticker tape rained down as the man walked out onto stage. Even with the area he worked in he still couldn't have believe that America had elected a TV celebrity to the presidency. He couldn't imagine his boss Eric or even Eric's boss Ted as president. Even with Ted's millions. He sighed. Maybe he shouldn't have voted for Perez instead of Nader. He might've voted for the Democrats if Wellstone or someone similar had won the primaries. He first wondered what difference a single vote had made but then her figured there were probably a lot of people out there thinking that. He sighed and watched as the victorious GOP candidate and his running mate walked out onto stage with that now well known cocky strut. He sighed again. This man had blatantly lied, had an ego the size of the moon and had no previous presidential experience. He'd variously been racist, sexist and homophobic both during the campaign and before! What the hell was he doing heading for the white house?! At least the long long election cycle was over. The many many recounts had finally declared Ohio for the Republicans, despite Perez's veep nominee, even though the news was saying that Perez and Brown had won the popular vote. Maybe there was a hangover from President Bayh's policies, maybe still some hangover from President Edwards or maybe good ol' fashioned racism against a Hispanic president. He wasn't a politician, he was an athlete.

He watched as the man walked up to the podium. "I've just been on the phone with Senator Perez," a few boos and cries of "lock him up" "Now, now, Tom Perez ran a good campaign but the American people have spoken and it gives me great pleasure to say that I, Vincent McMahon will be the 46th and next president of the United States of America!"

Danny Lloyd, the American Dragon, or as it had said on his postal vote back in Aberdeen, Bryan Danielson scratched his beard and stood from his hotel bed. Election or not there was still an episode of Thursday Night Thunder to film and Bischoff's script was being stuck to, he had a WCW World Championship to defend.

So WCW won the Monday night wars. The most ASB thing is Bischoff still being GM. :) But where is the Russo swerve?

tbh with all the drama and twists and stuff, he probably hasn't been GM all this time. Likewise theres probably WWF (didnt survive to get sued by pandas ITTL) staff on WCW.

I dont know a huge amount about Vince Russo tbh, maybe the PoD is Russo stayed at WWF :p Or is that too harsh ? :p

If you want Vinnie Mac to have a worse steroid scandal (or have him be convicted), have someone other than the guy who choked him over a bad payout and then said on the witness stand that he hated that m******f******'s guts (1) be a star witness for his prosecution; using that guy's testimony ruined the prosecution's case, IMO...

If you want some ideas on how the WWF might go if McMahon gets convicted and sentenced to prison, might I refer you to this thread at EWBattleground.com: http://www.ewbattleground.com/topic/97280-wwfwcw-spring-1995-madmen-rise-while-titans-fall/

(1) Kevin Wacholz was his name, IIRC, and that testimony pretty much sank any chance that McMahon would be convicted, since the jury thought he was a liar.

TTL still has this gift from OTL:
