No break between Rome, Constantinople, and England Christianities

Imagine a POD where the iconoclasm controversy is resolved peacefully enough to prevent the Eastern Orthodox Church from splitting off from Rome -- and (assuming he isn't butterflied away) Henry VIII getting his divorce or annulment and keeping England Catholic.

What would Europe and Byzantium be like with one shared religion and only minor sectarian differences (if any)? Will the Reformation have a chance against a unified church like this?

History of Europe will almost certainly becomes unrecognizable.

For one, the Byzantines stand a much better chance of survival, the fourth crusade probably will not occur as OTL.

Such a Church would need to be based on constant compromise, no strong statement of doctine would be possible for fear of alienating Churches on the over side of Christendom. Indeed Chistianity would have to become so liberal and vague that it would become riddled by sectarianism, look at the modern Church of England which is a desperate attempt to please everyone and pleases no one apart from a gay bishop.
