Nixon without Watergate

I was wondering how would Nixon be remembered without Watergate scandal? Let us just say that Watergate is either never discovered or never happened. There seem to be some good sides to Nixon, most of which are forgotten considering he was the only US President to resign because of the scandal.

He did bring Vietnam War to an end and signed quite a lot of enviromental protection laws. So, without him leaving in disgrace how would he be remembered in the US history?

Check out "2001 A Space-Time Odyssey ver2.0"

Here Richard Nixon do his full terms:
Only scandal was Spiro Agnew resigned as Vice President
The US presidency is still got authority and respect,
Nixon made historic visit China ruled by Lin Biao*
He turned VSALT** with the USSR into a much more substantial Strategic Weapon Limitation Treaty: SALT I and he manage to ban Biological weapons internationally
Nixon get Nobel peace-price for This in 1975.
He also attended the inaugural meeting of the Group of Seven.
but the World Nixon life in is turning darker,
as the Swiss become Nuclear Power and unleashed nuclear arms race in Europe and other nations.

Note to TL
* Lin Biao became leader of China as Mao Zedong was killed during cultural revolution.in begin 1966
** VSALT = voluntary Strategic Weapon Limitation Treaty 1963 deal between USA and USSR after in 1961 the world face twice Nuclear War.

The problem was that Nixon had his personal demons, plus aside from Watergate a lot of what he did had been done by previous Presidents just taken slightly further, there's a school of thought which says that even if Watergate doesn't come out something else likely will. Personally I can see the logic of both sides although lean slightly towards his managing to keeps things together and see out a second term. For the sake of clarity are we to assume that you mean he manages to make it through both terms of office without scandal?

Without Watergate, Nixon would have been one of our near great presidents considering what he did accomplish

Agnew still resigns and Ford becomes VP (yes Connally was Nixon's proffered choice, but It would never go through Congress as Dems would see him as a traitor and the GOP would not confirm a former Democrat). The 74 midterms are still rough for the GOP due to the economy but not as bad as OTL.

75 and 76 see a sluggish economic recovery and possibly healthcare reform. The 76 GOP primary is Reagan vs. Rockefeller and Reagan narrowly becomes the nominee. For the democrats, there's a crowded field and I can see either Church, Udall, or Jackson getting nominated. The general election resembles 1960 in closeness. The weak economy gives the Democrats the edge but given the state of their party pre Watergate and through the 80s, I can see the GOP narrowly pulling it off as well.

Nixon is remembered a near great President initially but he isn't viewed without controversy (Cambodia mainly) Then his sabotaging the Peace talks in 68 and his standing takes a hit.

Agnew still resigns...
Would Agnew be the candidate for Vice President in 1972? I'm going from hazy memory here but Nixon wanted a new running mate for the second term, without any worries he could probably push that through. It would be lucky for Nixon with Agnew safely distanced when the corruption comes to light, I wonder if he would have received such a lenient deal if he wasn't still Vice President and able to trade his resignation for a no contest plea to a single specimen charge.

Unless Agnew's skeletons were out in the open at the time, Nixon wasn't dropping him as it would've pissed off conservatives.
