Nixon/Lodge

WI: The Nixon/Lodge ticket wins in 1960 and again in 1964. Will there be a struggle between conservative and moderate factions of the Republican party?

What do you mean exactly? Are you asking who will be nominee in 1968? Or are you asking which faction will be victorious? There will most definitely be a struggle; their always has been. Ever since the GOP was founded there was a fight between the more "conservative" elements (ex Whigs) and the more "liberal" elements (ex Democrats). Same goes for the Democratic Party.

Both. I'm not sure if Lodge would run. I know he was older than Nixon, so he might be considered too old by 1968. If alot of civil rights legislation got passed in Nixon's hypothetical presidency of 1960-1968, I can't see t he GOP appealing to the Dixiecrats.
