Hello yet again lads and lasses,

My question this time to the board is the: If the Confederacy had won, could Nickajack have reasonably existed? And if it did exist, what would the boundaries of the state be? (For the sake of connivance, in this hypothetical we'll assume the Confederacy gets Tennessee) The reason I ask this is that while it seems logical for the Union to do, I can't see the Confederate negotiators allowing it, since this state would've been a US dagger pointed at the heart of the Confederacy and would've made it far too easy, in the Confederate view, to bisect the country in a future war. I understand that Confederacy will probably not all of the eleven states, but I cn't see them allowing Nickajack to exist, even if it means having to trade some other outlying externat territory for that slice of Tennessee.

It's kinda between the yes, and 'Other' options.

Yes, I think Nickajack could exist.....although you'd have to split into two states to really make the concept work out. :D
