Newfoundland/Maritime Union Name

Any suggestions for names for a Newfoundland/Labrador and Maritime Union?

Some ideas of mine: Atlantica, Atlantic Union, Albion, Orientania.

What period are we talking?
That is, if the Maritimes is not already being used for OTL Maritimes then I'd suggest Union/Confederation/Dominion-of the Maritimes.

If in use already then perhaps some variant on Atlantic - Atlancia, Atlantica.

Or New Albion? Victoria? Charlotte?

If this is to come into being during the reign of Victoria and 'Victoriania' is considered somewhat clumsy there is always the alternative of using Victoria's real first name, Alexandrina (she was called 'Drina' within the royal family).

The Dominion of Alexandrina?

I like Laurentia the best. However the St. Lawrence doesn't even run through it. However things have ended up with even less related names to it.

Acadia is probably the most logical. If the Union starts with only New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and P.E.I. that is basically Acadia (even more so if it includes Northern Maine).

Newfoundland would probably be added later to it.

Again, I like Avalon - that was the original provincial name of Newfoundland when Lord Baltimore failed to colonize it, and 'Acadia' would be seen as probably too much a sop to the Francophone Acadiens, whom the Atlantic Canadians might not want to get funny ideas on nationalism and thus deal with a mini-version of OTL Canada's Franco-Anglophone divide.

And what of Canada, It has precisely the very same origins... but was adopted anyway by French and English Alike.

Acadia again is the only name that really identifies the entirety of the maritime provinces.

and since any such union would start there it is the most logical single identifier.

Well, I would say it depends. Unlike the Acadians, French-Canadians weren't expelled from their homes, so IMO, it would seem awkward for the British to name the Maritimes Acadia when Acadia is still a cultural identifier of the people they sent packing to the United States.

Of course, I would also say that Acadia is still one of the most likely choices out of all the names given.

Another (but relatively boring) possibility could be Nova Scotia since it did include New Brunswick and PEI for a little while.

Still, Laurentia is my personal favorite.
