New wife for Henry, Prince of Wales

Arthur, Prince of Wales is dead.
Henry is just been invested with the title of Prince of Wales - he will become Henry the Eighth once his father Henry the Seventh dies.
Of the princesses, duchesses, and elegiable ladies at the time - who could Henry marry other than Catherine of Aragon?

Germaine de Foix.

Might I ask you also to give your reasons for the match instead of making wiki-checking the proposed selections?

Louise of Savoy tried to offer Margeurite of Anjouleme to Henry VII as a wife for the new Prince of Wales shortly after Arthur's death (it was rebuffed presumably at that point because it didn't have the sanction of Louis XII and would have been rather hasty given Henry VII was in negotiations to keep Katherine of Aragon in England as the new Prince of Wales' bride) - In due course she was married to Alencon for practical reasons by Louis XII's order.

Maximilian worked quite hard to persuade Henry VII to commit to the marriage of Henry and Eleanor of Austria (Katherine's niece) - and effectively it was a done deal - however Henry himself on his accession moved to marry Katherine immediately.Quite possible for this one to come to fruition with Henry VII pushing the marriage through in 1508 but it is unlikely given her age she would have arrived in England before his death when Henry is likely to still jilt her for her aunt Katherine.

I voted Margaret because I think she brings several advantages to the marriage:

-Fresh blood to the Tudor line
-Sister to the future king of France
-Age compatibility, Eleanor would have to wait until 1514 at least, Margaret can wed in 1508.
-A personality fit for a queen
-Reformist tendencies, something that would make the english reformation interesting

Honestly, Margaret is just made of awesomeness. She is one of my Trinity Ladies of the Renaissance alongside Catherine of Aragon and Isabella of Portugal of this time.

Germaine, like Katherine of Aragon, is older than Henry and if H7 is delaying Katherine over the dowry (which he'll have to return and, being the selfish bastard he is, he doesn't want to). H7 is more likely to wed Germaine himself. Germaine is a perfect second wife for a King.
