New Mexico or New Name?

The U.S. acquired the State of New Mexico after the American-Mexican War in 1848. The territory had been named Nuevo México and is often been incorrectly believed to have taken its name from the nation of Mexico. However, Nuevo México was given its name in 1563, and again in 1581, by Spanish explorers who believed the area contained wealthy Indian cultures similar to those of the Aztec Empire.

What if, after acquiring the new territory and then state, America decided to rename it? What would be some good state names for it?

Here's some of mine:
Fremont
Polkania
Gila
Gadsden
Shiprock
Commancheria
Apacheria
Pueblo
Navajo
Cibola
Hawikuh
Trans-Pecos
Houston
Amerindia
Anasazi
Athabaskia
East Arizona
West Texas

Just to name a few. Any others?
