Neutral Switzerland in an Axis victory

I used the search function, but all it turned up was Tannenbaum stuff. My question might be answered in some German victory timeline, but I'm not sure where to look -- if you know of a good one, a link would be highly appreciated. :)

Anyway, I was wondering: in the case of an Axis victory (UK either never enters or drops out early on, US stays neutral, et cetera), what happens to Switzerland?

I have this fantasy of a heavily armed, heavily defended autarkic fortress state, surrounded by the Reich's EU, cut off from the rest of the world, struggling to survive but determined to do so. A rifle behind every blade of grass, that kind of thing. :D Maybe not quite the most realistic outcome, but you gotta admit, wouldn't that be awesome? Like an anti-NK.

Anyway, realistically, whatdya think?

One theory is that the Nazis would need a "window to the world" for diplomatic purposes (and perhaps a place where prominent Party officials can hide their money), so Switzerland would survive.

Of course, unless their victory leaves them REALLY bloodied and overextended, dividing Switzerland with Italy and Vichy France would be pretty easy.

I think Fatherland gives a pretty good approximation as to what Switzerland would have been like in this scenario. There's a great line a Kripo expert tells March, "There are only three classes of citizen in Switzerland, German spies, American spies and Swiss bankers trying to get hold of their money." :)

Germany had plans for dividing Switzerland up and parcelling off its regions to the appropriate nation by main ethnic group of each canton. If they didn’t invade directly you can expect some indirect means similar to the Sudeten Germans to be used.

Switzerland would be forced to surrender. but I think Merry Prankster and the author of Fatherland is on to something.
