Nestorian States in Asia

I'm tempted to say no...

For Nestorian Christianity to even be a thing would require a PoD dating back to a surviving Sassanid Empire at the earliest and an Il-Khanate adopting Nestorianism at the latest. (Of which is of questionable plausibly)

It wouldn't be impossible to have a Nestorian Mongolia or East Turkestan by having the Naimans or Khereids unite the Mongolian tribes. In fact it wouldn't be too difficult - there would be no reason for them to be forced into any other faith.

Alternative ideas:

- As said, the Ilkhanate is a possibility, though I can't see that working out in the long run.
- An Assyrian state founded after the fall of the Ottomans
- Assyrian refugees move to India like the Zoroastrians

Agreed. It's very possible for Central and South Asia to become Nestorian strongholds. If powerful warriors and leaders were convinced of the benefits or given Nestorian brides, those were a few ways that Christianity spread throughout Europe.
