Probably pretty similar - it was more the weight of sanctions and international condemnation that caused the collapse of the apartheid state (combined with demographic factors - a decreasing white birth rate combined with a rapidly increasing black birth rate), than the work of any one individual. One thing you might see is a post-Apartheid government less dominated by the ANC - the Communist Party, Democratic Party, (New) National Party, and others would likely take significant slices out of it without some form of public unifying figure.
