Nelson killed at the Nile

Horatio Nelson was severely wounded by a musket ball to the head at the battle of the Nile which he himself thought was fatal. As it was he survived until 1805 when he is killed at Trafalgar.
What would the effects be of that musket ball killing him in 1798?

Good point. Without that and Trafalgar what would his reputation be like? He still had victories as a ship captain, Tenerife and the Nile is viewed as on of the greatest victories in the age of sail but does he still get his godlike reputation with just those?
