We are now into Barbarossa again.
IF Barbarossa would have been remotely successful (in whichever way we measure it), to the extent of knocking Soviet out.
Would Stalin ever have been party to a peace/settlement with Hitler?
IF Barbarossa is remotely successful, it would mean that the industrial part of Soviet would be gone, inclusive of the oil. Baltics, Moscow, Don Basin.
The IF's would probably be:
1) Would Stalin have negotiated a peace?
2) Woulds he have survived politically if he did? if he didn't?
and the best one:
3) How long would it last? And who would break it first? Hitler or Soviet?
