Need idea for Michigan Republic Flag

For ME5 im making a Michigan Republic, that seperated as a result of the toledo war, during the civil war The republic has Michigan (LP and UP), Wisconsin, minisota, Iowa, and about half of the dakotas.

I need an idea/ suggestion for a flag.

Any ideas? (WeaponM?)

Keeping with the "Don't Tread" theme, we could see some sort of Mississauga Rattler flag.

Some type of Wolverine flag...

Or something to do with all the lakes...like fish or tridents or something.

Maybe something based on Indian lore, like some of the things said to be lurking in Lake Superior...

Or take the mitten as a fist, and make a flag from that...

The cross type thing might go well with Scandinavian settlers, like in Minnesota...and the colors are just green and black for camo purposes, but could be blue/green whatever for the lakes....

blue/green is an awful colour combination though. if you use it better seperate it by lines of a third colour, or somesuch.
And I dont see what the White Rose has to do with Michigan...?

Thanks. I have one made up right now that is close to that, but a bit more colorfull and a smaller trident.

I thank you all for your help. The orignal final had a tident in the corner, but i thought it made it to busy.
