Need help with a post-atomic Germany TL

I'm planning to make a TL detailing the consequences of a Nazi Germany that ends up being bombed out by the Allies following a botched invasion into France and a stalemate in the East. Could anyone give me some general tips and info that may be useful?

It depends on how it ends, does a bombing of Berlin behead the Nazi government and lead to chaos or is there a coup?

Another thing to consider is the status of the Pacific Theater of War. Did the United States use the atomic bomb there as well. Second, did they continue to fight after the nuclear bombing in Europe, or did they call for peace talks?

In regards to Europe, consider if any of the German leaders is attempting a "Alpine redoubt" similar to The Man With The Iron Heart by Harry Turtledove, or did German forces surrender immediately....

Also what kind of reparations will be demanded from the German people? Do leaders think they could have won the war? How widely known are the Holocaust atrocities? Was evidence destroyed by the Nazis?

The Pacific isn't overly revelant, but yes, I would suppose they did. Your second point is something that will be one of the focuses of the first part of the TL. The German forces will largely be in disarray, I would guess that the morale of the citizenry is mostly shattered, and the Holocaust camps will probably be discovered by occupational forces. Does that help?

A) So did Japan continue to fight or did they surrender after news of the nuclear explosion?

B) But the question becomes do they feel they could have won a conventional war. Just consider that in OTL's Japan, many right-wing Japanese leaders feel they could have "fought on". Second, many feel that they shouldn't have to "apologize" for their atrocities claiming an "equal atrocity" was committed to them...

C) With fewer surviving European Jewish people, the chances for the success of Israel shrink drastically. It becomes a question as to whether or not the state will even exist in the ATL....

They surrendered, as in OTL--I was thinking of the two countries getting plasted at about the same time. Bear in mind that it's not just Berlin that get's nuked, it's several cities, so they won't really be able to fight even if they want to. And the Israel question is something I overlooked--thanks for that.

But here are several more questions:

A) How many Japanese cities had to be bombed with nuclear weapons in the ATL? Were there different cities bombed?

B) What was the timespan between the German cities being bombed and the Japanese cities being bombed. The amount of time should tell the rest of the world how many weapons the U.S. has, and how many it is capable of making....

C) How close was Germany to completing its own nuclear weapon in the ATL? Consider that Heisenberg was delayed by both the Allied bombings and the theoretical nature of the nuclear bomb. In August 1945 in OTL, he was able to understand how the nuclear bomb was detonated and worked after the news reports came in from Hiroshima...

D)With both Axis nations destroyed by American nuclear weapons, the nations of Great Britain, France and the USSR are going to want international monitoring of nuclear technology. Concern will be over an "American monopoly of power"....

E) With the amount of people killed in atomic bombings, many European and American peace activists are going to point out that in one campaign they killed half as many people as were killed in the Holocaust. For many, including Robert Oppenheimer, it will create a "crisis of conscience"...

POD June 1942

* The U.S government is certainly not going to restore Germany to 1914 borderlines. If anything, the fact that they caused two world wars works against any German territorial claims. They certainly won't get East Prussia or the Sudetenland, based on demands by the Polish government. British, Soviet, and French governments are going to insist on a formal division of Germany....

* Baltic State independence may occur. Prior to 1945, the Baltic States were independent nations. During the "Drive West" by Soviet forces annexed the states. In the ATL, the states could maintain independence, but would still have Soviet troops occupying them....

The situation in Japan is more or less as in OTL. As for Germany, the bombing happens a little while after, although I'm somewhat undecided as to specifics. The German A-bomb project is also more or less as in OTL--i.e., not very successful. Thanks for the suggestions, also.
